Collectible Trading Cards

to me, opening the packs is the best part - it scratches a gambling itch that I didn't know I had
For sure. That’s me as well. I’m just starting to get back into it, but at this point I’d rather open packs with a dozen+ cards as opposed to the packs with maybe 5 but a higher chance of getting a artifact or autograph (and much higher cost). As cool as that would be, the cost of entry is prohibitive.

It’s be nice to pull something that could cover the cost of some of these but I don’t even know if that demand exist for hockey cards and that’s the only sport I’m interested in.

A couple of my favorite rookie cards remaining from my childhood collection. Definitely had some cards that would be worth something today but a sports card neckbeard talked 13 year old me into selling a ton to him for practically nothing at a garage sale.

Iconic Donne Baseball card.

Hated the Red Wings but liked Stevey Y.

I swear this card was limited. I think I built 3 or 4 near sets from packs in 84 but only had one Marino.

Check out Parkhurst Champions for hockey. Can get a box of 24-25 for ~$100, which is cheap for a hobby box nowadays. Chase some Celebrini. They have on-card autos, too (I hate sticker autos). It’s a really fun rip. Not many fun rips left anymore, sadly.
