Video Games

I've come to the conclusion that I just suck and with any game like Cyberpunk, I'll pick the easy setting.
Don’t let anyone shame you for playing how you want. I don’t know anyone I’m trying to impress by my prowess or lack thereof with mah vidya. And the soulsborne fanboys can fuck off with their GitGud gatekeeping bullshit.

Got about an hour in to Fallout 4, had a glitch where there weren't any bobby pins. Had to fight an enemy that I couldn't beat. Hard Pass. I'll twiddle my thumbs for another couple of months until Crimson Desert arrives.

like i said earlier. Fallout 4 is fun, but it's nothing compared to Fallout 3 or new vegas. the dialogue and story is what really drove me to want to finish the games

I was also pretty drunk, doh! I may get back into it, but it's not really my style of game. I've heard the story of New Vegas is great.

Alright, I pulled myself up the by the bootstraps on my slip-on vans and started it up again. I found a dude on YouTube that has a video of what to do in the first hour, so I watched that and played along. I think I get the game now. I'm about 4 hours in and really enjoying it.

I'll keep going.

I've gotten my glorious wife (who really enjoys table top games) to start playing some video games with me. We crush together at the Overcooked games, and we recently finished It Takes Two (watching her learn to use both of the sticks at the same time was frustrating, entertaining and endearing all at once). She found a used copy of A Way Out, but once we got it loaded, we discovered that it was a jacked up copy that wouldn't play. That was super-shitty.
So on a whim, I picked up Wildermyth. I really didn't know shit about it, but it was an RPG, which she has kind of enjoyed in her/our limited exposure. She really got into Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion when we played that campaign.
Man, this thing is much more rich and deep than I thought it would be. We played a couple weekends ago for about 4 hours and I feel like we were just starting to figure out how the game was structured. Seems like an 80+ hour thing. I'm not sure I can get her that engaged, so I might just start a new game for me.
Anyone have any experience with this game?

Found a cheap copy of the Mario Galaxy 1&2 collection on the Switch so I finally picked it up. Never had a Wii or a WiiU and I’ve always wanted to play them.

Also, fuck you Nintendo for never lowering prices. I miss the Players Choice budget lineup.
March 10th (MAR10 Day) they normally have a sale but only digitally. I got Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury last year for $35 or $40 that day.

Prices lowering? How about prices going up? I bought Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze for $50 on Wii U and then when it came to Switch it was the Standard $60.

Bastardos!

Reminds me though I need to pop DKC Returns for Switch into my Switch 2... it just recently got a free 4K upgrade.

About to finish far cry 4. Pretty good story and the choices they give you are interesting. Some ubisoft nonsense. I might at some point try 5 or maybe primal
I fuck around way too much in these games and never actually get to the end. It always ends up that I'm just running around finding cooler and cooler ways to kill groups of bad guys.

This was my first far cry. Definitely feels like fps assassin's creed. But I'm bias as I've played multiple titles in that series.
