Agreed to just hit up a rando slice shop and keep moving

Though Lucia of Soho and L&B Spumoni Dumbo locations both should be minimal effort for a slice

A couple other suggestions:
R slice also has a location by Madison Square Garden/Penn station
Heard Stretch Pizza (Wylie Dufresne's new restaurant) does slices as well now, but have only tried whole pies there myself

Figured I'd drop this here and see if anyone has suggestions...

Picking up a rental car at LGA next week and driving up to Schilling (before going to VT like I mentioned in the HF thread). My plan was to go up Taconic State Pkwy and eventually migrate over because I think CT and central Mass are boring (though I may hit Treehouse Deerfield on the way back).

I'm trying not to go terribly off course because I'd like to hang at Schilling and enjoy Littleton during some daylight hours. But does anyone have recs between here and there? Though it's a bit away, I have Rossi & Sons in Poughkeepsie saved because the sandwiches look great. Otherwise, I don't have stops until a country store in Weston, VT and Long Trail Brewing in Corners, VT. Also, is Long Trail any good?

Food, snacks, maple creemees, noteworthy landmarks, and anything else would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Last fall we got a cabin at Taconic state park for leaf peepin and this apple orchard was not far from Taconic state parkway: http://www.fishkillfarms.com/

You can just turn up and reservation is only required for pick your own

Got insanely good apples, amazing cider, apple cider doughnuts handed to you freshly baked out the oven (grabbed all that to bring for the trip)
