Drank a bunch of great pils lately from Resident Culture, Revolution, Divine Barrel, Perrenial, and Threes, but Mama’s Lil Yella has been the go to. When I moved to NC, I had it a few times and was unimpressed. Not sure if they tweaked the recipe or I was always grabbing old cans, but I’ve gone through a couple cases of the late January batch. Finally starting to fall off.

Yes, they did tweak the recipe and have been going for a more authentic take on Pilsner.
What kinda inside info you got? It tastes slimmer and less malty.
There was a podcast from Craft Beer and Brewing with someone from Oskar talking about the change they made. I don’t remember the specifics.

IPLs are getting too low ABV and clean. Pilsners are getting to hoppy and strong. I’m a concerned citizen.

Hopped with Citra and Riwaka. Tasty, I still prefer a more traditional Pils though.
