The Official Haul Thread

That's only 8 cans. I fail to see how that can last a three-day weekend. I fail to see how that will make it past Saturday at like 3pm.

I only drink on the weekends and then 2-3 beers maximum per day (thanks, stupid mitral valve and warfarin for life). This plus a Floodland and a big stout will have me set Friday through Monday.

Toronado (partial) mystery case included a 2009 bourbon angels share, 2005 Hardy’s, no cork gold cap Dalmatienne, lotsa neat stuff!

I think I prefer mine:

Probably because I got some extra Hardy's on the side. The random-ass 3 old-ass beers are going to be interesting (probably ass).

Which ddg? And where did u sign up for these?
Toronado did a not-very-publicized thing where they put a link in their insta bio to this weird site that lets you sign up for timeslots, which let you show up at that time to pay $160 for 12 bottles of mystery beer. Naturally the slots were all taken in minutes. I'm not sure which DDG it is, shiny label so relatively new. I'll probably just take it to the face one of these nights, it's not like any of my friends give a shit about Lost Abbey any more.

Zwyiec Porter is a fun one to see in there.
And that bottle seems to be pretty darn old, I'm curious about it, not sure I've had the beer before.

Also, for the curious, based on a few other friends getting their boxes the pattern seems to be:

1 T-30
1 Cable Car
1 Rare Barrel
1 Other Lost Abbey
1 Eclipse
1 Bruery Terreux
2-3 newer random bottles
3-4 older random bottle

I need to drink an Olfabrikken Porter again at some point. Wonder if anyone has any laying around.

That's some old money business. Retired but still the second highest rated Baltic according to RB.

Which reminds me, I'd still like to try some of those Widawa ones that seem to be all the rage but impossible to get hold of.

It's basically a supermarket beer in a bunch of European countries but one that has a dedicated following. It's to Baltic Porters what Guinness Foreign Extra Stout is to that category (or at least it is to Polish Baltic Porters anyway)
