What are you cooking???

Diver scallops are great but I sure do love the little baby bay scallops in a meal.

Theres no amount of cleaning and rinsing sometimes to getting the sand and grit out of a traditionally trawled scallop sometimes. I hate that shit!

Jealous...TJs down here don’t have ANY fresh seafood. Even the damn smoked fish i

Israeli couscous with red wine braised baby bellas, purple and green kale sauteed in the mushroom pan juices. Garlic cashew pesto. Should have upped the shrooms quantity, but whatever. This hot and a huge ass chopped salad should be plenty filling.

Anybody planning any special meals for this evening?
I forgot for a moment that there would be a REASON for special meals tonight...honestly, probably just tacos, which I feel like I also prepared on inauguration night 2016 (in protest? Tonight are celebratory tacos though).

I will once again state my love for the NYT cooking app, as each week I'm still picking out 2-3 brand new recipes to try (as well as re-making a bunch), nearly all winners. So for lunch today, I'm going to make a new recipe, some stir fry with caramelized scallion sauce I made yesterday.

Damn, I'm going to miss home-cooked lunches when I return to the office (counterpoint: I will welcome taco trucks, made-to-order stir fry and salads, and arepas, though).

I am so used to things being awful I am afraid to celebrate. But I have been craving mediterranean. Maybe if I relax, order a tray of kebab this weekend.
What's your local Mediterranean joint? I was used to periodic Roti lunches when commuting into Chicago and I am missing it.
