Great Music of DDT: So Emotionable

Easily one of the most beautiful songs ever written imo. I always stop whatever I am doing to listen.

Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changin' ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?

Well, I've been 'fraid of changin'
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I'm gettin' older, too

And one of my favorites from my guy Mr. Petty. His anthem for not taking any shit from anyone.
Who's that goofy looking dude playing drums?
And Mr. Harrison on guitar.

Well I know what's right, I got just one life. In a world that keeps on pushin' me around but I'll stand my ground, and I won't back down

This guy only seems to write deeply moving or deeply silly songs. I am going to post two of my favorites. One is from his album The Ambassador, and is about LA’s Ambassador Hotel (where Bobby Kennedy was shot), from the perspective of a bellman who worked their his whole career. As a history and architecture buff this song is one of my favorites. I have probably posted it before. I love this artist. I love this song.

This song is more traditionally moving as just a deep love song. and the first comment on the video is heart breaking:

Kate Bush - This Woman's Work

Even in Bush's highly capable hands this is still verging on overwrought snot bubble territory. Love it though!
