Bell's released their four Sideyard beers earlier this week. This one made solely with Crystal hops from their two-acre hop farm.

I am enjoying this one.

I had the Mirage Don’t Play last night up at Ridgewood and it was… not good? Bitterness I can do but this was astringent in an unpleasant way. Real shame as I usually love their fresh hop beers.

I had that at Ridgewood on Wednesday and didn’t think it was nearly as astringent. It was pretty bitter on the finish but there was a lot of cantaloupe goodness in there, too.

The Pint Size fresh hop was pretty fantastic, though. Damn shame they’re shutting down.
