US - West Denver

First year I paid the $80 and my car clunked out literally two months later. I scraped it off my windshield and taped to my new car. Every year since, I’ve gotten the $120. We can bounce it between our three cars and (more importantly) use it on friends rental cars when they come into town and we force them to drive.

It’s well worth it. In the metro you have Golden Gate, Eldorado Canyon, Cherry Creek, and Chatfield. Just a bit of a drive up 285 is Staunton and that is one hell of fun park to hike.
by Chatfield, you also have Roxbourough State park which has some really nice hikes.

Also, Water Canyon is between Chatfield and Roxborough. Its the start of the Colorado Trail, easy hike for the first 6 miles or so then it gets steep and woodsy.

Yeah, Waterton Canyon is great. 100% chance of seeing Big Horn sheep up close right on the trail.

Good place to run too.

Did Luki Brewery on Friday. It's a fine little brewery. Not something you'd go out of your way for but since it's around the corner, the beer prices were reasonable, and the beer was fine, we'll go back again.

Black Project may not allow kids. I’d check before you go though I’m probably getting it confused with someplace else.
Good to know. Their website doesn't say anything, but it's always a possibility. The one place I've found so far is Bierstadt's Beerhall doesn't allow kids but their taproom does.

edit: i can't find anything about being 21+ but I'll call just to be safe.

Bierstadt definitely doesn't allow children and explicitly says on their website so yes probably.
Probably because of all the games downstairs that would be a liability with kids around.

It’s still not the one I’m thinking of and it’s going to bother me.

Black Project was interesting. The taproom is very uninteresting but it's a big wide open space so that was nice. No outdoor seating and parking in the area was busy. The beer was pretty good though the sours they had on draft were a bit similar to each other in some ways. For whatever reason, they offer 12oz and 4oz pours, but the 4oz pours were in the 12oz glasses. Made for funny looking pours. Plenty of food options in the area which was nice. All in all we'll probably go back there again at some point but have plenty of places to visit before then.

This Friday we are going to go for a hike up in Nederland and then try out Knotted Root. On Saturday we are going to Paco Sanchez Park and then maybe a brewery after, not sure yet.
