Last pour was Barrel Aged Endless Ritual (Endless meads being just fruit and honey with no water added).
  • 60% Endless Raspberry Tupelo Reserve aged in a 15 year 1792 Bourbon Barrel for 15 months + 20% Endless Blackberry aged in a Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrel for 11 months + 20% Endless Black Currant aged in a Blanton's Bourbon Barrel for 11 months
After the initial flight, I had pours of a super delicate orange and tangerine session mead, an orange blossom traditional that was aged in a pastry stout barrel, a pineapple and habanero session mead, a mead that was a similar blend as Endless Ritual but was conditioned on vanilla and dehydrated cream cheese powder, a session ube mead with marshmallow and pineapple, and then finished off with another small pour each of the Endless Vanilla and the BA Endless Ritual from the initial flight. Not a single miss in the bunch. The big meads were great, but maybe more than anything else what impressed me was the balance on the pineapple habanero session mead. It was so perfect to the point of almost making me angry as a fellow practitioner of the art. Fingers crossed I can get into the membership club for next year.
 
Just got an email that Garagiste moved into Cigar City’s mead and cider taproom, which I guess still exists. Was it not part of the sale? Didn’t sound like they started making mead or if they will under their name, but just selling old inventory. It wasn’t exactly clear. Confusing.
 
was looking through old emails and realized that I had 2 oustanding bottles at Schramm's from November of last year. According to their policy, they policy they hold for shipping for 6 months and then they issue credit minus 20%. Emailed them, and of course they are still holding the bottles and gave me zero shit for being a brain moron. They're the best. And now i'll have to guilt buy some mead from the 11th anni sale that's happening at the moment.
