No time like the present to get to opening this. Small lunch with friends, close of a year where things went relatively well and it paired perfect with our surf and turf lunch.

Have you seen my watch?
Decided on a resolution of at least one bottle of mead each of the 366 days of 2024. Will update from time to time. Won’t bore you all with endless series of photos. So far cranberry b4 (good but needs some time still imo), sleeping giant (first batch, probably 5 years or more past its prime sadly), thousand ships (not sure which batch honestly, but quality beverage as usual). Need to drink my cellar down and this seems to be a useful resolution.

Popped a B2 Black Agnes last night to pair with a Hot Brown. I was so into the hot brown I kept forgetting to drink the mead, but I will always enjoy black currant with some time on it, which is why my cellar count will never be zero. If we end this year below another hundred milestone I’ll be happy though.

Most polarizing mead at the share. Reminds me of the old B Nektar hopped Gewurtztraminer pyment. Winner for me.

16 year old Polish.
Cork is going a little soft so it is definitely time to drink but goddamn I love aged Polish mead. Just outstanding. Lovely raspberry and honey flavors.
2016 Ginger. Still plenty of sweet and spice. Really really lovely. This can go as long as the cork will hold up. Mine split but no signs of corkage.
