Anybody see 'Joker' in 70MM?
Wife is outta town and I'm wondering if I should schlep myself over to the downtown Alamo Drafthouse to catch it (which I'd rather not... parking downtown on weekends suuuucks). They're playing it 35MM at the Alamo closer to me as well.

Parasite is a great movie. I can't say it's my favorite or the best movie the year, but still special. It almost certainly has some things that flew over my head, but the over-arching message does not require reading between the lines. Can't get into the story without spoilers but I can say I strongly recommend. Gentleman's 8.5. Best to go in knowing nothing.

Went downtown today to see Parasite on the big screen. It's a phenomenal movie. Deserves all the praise it's getting. Glad I made the effort to see it in theater even if I watched it at home last month. Plays well with an audience.

Really liked Joker and I like it more the more I think about it. They do some interesting things that keep you wondering after its over.
My only criticism is that it's too obvious when it's reflecting Taxi Driver and King of Comedy. I would have liked a more nuanced homage, but that's minor to me.
Definitely going to see it again with the having-already-seen-it perspective.
