Ya we will see how the season goes. It's funny that all the dummies (Oilers fans) up here are saying "HAHA, Neal is the best evaarrr and we won the trade, HAHA".

It (Neal) never would have worked in Calgary. He showed up to camp out of shape and unmotivated. This landed him on the third line (sometimes 4th) and he just ended up moping around all of last year. This pissed off Peters and things just snowballed, ending up with Neal being a healthy scratch in the playoffs last year.

Jokes on Oilers though if Neal has a big year, Flames would get a third round pick in the 2020 draft (Neal has to score 21 goals and Lucic has to score at least 10 fewer goals than Neal)

Agreed. To early to tell. Just pretty funny the way it is working out so far. Neal with 6 goals in 3 games. Lucic with 0 points and 26 PIMs in 3 games....haha...

If Neal can play well enough to stay on that top PP Unit, he is going to get that 20 goals just by standing near the net. That one play from McDavid to Draisaitl to Neal just standing at the net was sick. Keep your stick on the ice kids!

Also if Neal scores 20+, the Oilers would be happy with that trade off for a 3rd round pick. More than half 3rd round picks may not even make the NHL.

Agree with everything you said.

I'm totally fine with the trade even if Lucic scores 0 goals all year. He was brought in for a reason to be a 'presence' and bring some toughness as the Flames were fairly soft last year (I miss Hathaway so much :( ). Example, last night against the Kings, Flames were super shitty and unmotivated and ended up down 3-0 early in the second. Lucic fought MacDermid, who is huge, and the Flames scored 2 quick ones, tying it up late in third to force OT (Doughty ended up winning it on a weak penalty call)
 
So if you want a fanbase to lose all momentum after 2 exciting wins, just schedule a week off in-between games 2 and 3. And make game 3 a Saturday matinee. Fully expect the Rangers to be 10000% flat tomorrow.
 
More same old from the Hawks. Milk carton defence and average goaltending. The forwards look deep and should put up some points. Surprise of the season so far has been Kubalik.

Not sure if that was just a one game fluke or what??? But Patty just looked different then he looked in Toronto last year. He was flyin out there. Brought a ton of energy. I think I even saw a back check...lol!!! Got 2 fucking goals to boot...

Biggest story of the night was HCPD starting Dell in net. Came away with the win. I hope to see more Dell and less Jones going forward. Whoever plays better, gets more starts. Neither looks like a #1 guy though. Sharks are pretty much fucked with the Salary Cap and Jones bad contract.....
