Ready for that nsfw center cut pic
We quatered the churro and froze it before you asked, I’ll get to that one in about a week.
This tres leches center cut may seem underwhelming on the fold contrast since all the goo coming our of the middle is white, but in person there is cateja and milk and my only regret is it is too gooey for the toaster oven.

UPDATE: this is better than many tres leches cakes I have had and is now ranked directly under Cafecito for best Tres Leches in the city.

A week or so ago I placed a group order with friends for my favorite oranges from Florida. Page oranges are a clementine crossed back with Honeybell Tangelos so they are larger, still pretty easy to peel and have the occasional seed, but exceptionally juicy. I added on the marmalades and OB honey while going all out on a full 4 tray order.

That marmalade is legit. Also highly recommend this:image.jpg

The panettone available at most stores is shit. However, after reading an article on Saveur I'd like to try a good one. Figured I'd ask and see if anyone here had an opinion on one. Full disclosure, I will never like anything with candied citron in it. I do see that there are options with other fillings, like cherry or pistachio.

Check Zingermans. They have a couple different kinds available and their catalog is a “best of” offering things from high quality producers if they don’t make it themselves.

EDIT: nevermind it all says “on vacation” so they are out of stock for the season. We were talking about their fruit cakes up thread so I assume the Pannetone is of similar quality.
